Book Review:Hex Hall by Rachael Hawkins

Hex Hall by Rachael Hawkins
Hardcover, 323 pages
Published March 2nd 2010 by Hyperion Book CH
Copy Recieved from:Library
Goodreads Blurb:Three years ago, Sophie Mercer discovered that she was a witch. It's gotten her into a few scrapes. Her non-gifted mother has been as supportive as possible, consulting Sophie's estranged father--an elusive European warlock--only when necessary. But when Sophie attracts too much human attention for a prom-night spell gone horribly wrong, it's her dad who decides her punishment: exile to Hex Hall, an isolated reform school for wayward Prodigium, a.k.a. witches, faeries, and shapeshifters.
By the end of her first day among fellow freak-teens, Sophie has quite a scorecard: three powerful enemies who look like supermodels, a futile crush on a gorgeous warlock, a creepy tagalong ghost, and a new roommate who happens to be the most hated person and only vampire student on campus. Worse, Sophie soon learns that a mysterious predator has been attacking students, and her only friend is the number-one suspect.
As a series of blood-curdling mysteries starts to converge, Sophie prepares for the biggest threat of all: an ancient secret society determined to destroy all Prodigium, especially her
 My Review:
Hex Hall was a stunning, amazing, fast-paced debut that I know forsure Miss Hawkins's cast a spell over her words! So freaking good! Finished it in 3 hours!!! The story was the perfect book with everything crafted out so well it literally feels like you are swept up in this story! And there is romance with the sexy, and famous Archer Cross!

One of my favorite character's had to be Jenna! She was like Sophie's side-kick with all the help she gave her on the first day and she was witty and very fun to read! The way the killer killed the student's at Hex Hall was kinda creepy.... *worried, scared look*. There was lot's of funny, sarcastic dialogue with some kick-butt scenes with Sophie, ....Hex Hall was just so so good! And I love the cover! :D Yes,cover Love!!!!!

This book has everything a YA reader would love and more with it's laugh-out-loud scenes, with a little predictable plot, perfect heroine(Sophie is relatable and witty), and was so addicting with the writing and how everything pieced together from the begining!*Smart look at Rachael Hawkins* I will definetly re-read Hex Hall and look forward to Demonglass!

                                                                                 5 stars!!

Book Review: Rival by Sara Benntte Weaker

Rival by Sara Bennette Wealer
Hardcover, 336 pages
Published February 15th 2011 by HarperTeen
Gerne: Musical,Realistic Fiction
Copy Obtained: From my library :)
Goodreads Blurb: What if your worst enemy turned out to be the best friend you ever had?

Meet Brooke: Popular, powerful and hating every minute of it, she’s the “It” girl at Douglas High in Lake Champion, Minnesota. Her real ambition? Using her operatic mezzo as a ticket back to NYC, where her family lived before her dad ran off with an up and coming male movie star.

Now meet Kathryn: An overachieving soprano with an underachieving savings account, she’s been a leper ever since Brooke punched her at a party junior year. For Kath, music is the key to a much-needed college scholarship.

The stage is set for a high-stakes duet between the two seniors as they prepare for the prestigious Blackmore competition. Brooke and Kathryn work toward the Blackmore with eyes not just on first prize but on one another, each still stinging from a past that started with friendship and ended in betrayal. With competition day nearing, Brooke dreams of escaping the in-crowd for life as a professional singer, but her scheming BFF Chloe has other plans. And when Kathryn gets an unlikely invitation to Homecoming, she suspects Brooke of trying to sabotage her with one last public humiliation.

As pressures mount, Brooke starts to sense that the person she hates most might just be the best friend she ever had. But Kathryn has a decision to make. Can she forgive? Or are some rivalries for life?

My Review:
Rival was such a musical, rivalry book between two girls who want the same dream and used to be friends that made me stay up till midnight!!! :)

That is how great this book was! The hardest thing about blogging on a book that you love is telling how much you love or hate the book and it took me forever to post this up ever since three months ago! And it took lots of me pushing myself to do this. *Throws Confetti*

It was really good! So enjoyable beacuse the writing was done well, and I really loved Brooke and Katheryn and it was so hard to find who I liked. And I really recommend this to everyone who is struggling to see if that old enemy who used to be your friend could be your best friend. I look forward to see any other books by  Miss Wealer! :)

The story starts with senior year when Katheryn and Brooke used to be friends till one year Brooke actually punches Katheryn in front of everyone and is on Youtube, the internet, and is the buzz at school. They became friends when Katheryn was invited to Brooke's party to make new friends And from there it changes point-of-view,which I thought was done pretty good and you follow how each girl is fighting for Blackmore.

I give this book 4 stars! It was so great and enjoyed every second and was surprised to find it one of my favorites! :D

Really Good, but had a very little flaws here and there, but its worth to buy it! Will stil re-read..!

Book Review: Bloodlines by Richelle Mead

Bloodlines by Richelle Mead
Hardcover, 421 pages
Published August 23rd 2011 by Razorbill
Goodreads Blurb:   The first book in Richelle Mead's brand-new teen fiction series - set in the same world as Vampire Academy.

When alchemist Sydney is ordered into hiding to protect the life of Moroi princess Jill Dragomir, the last place she expects to be sent is a human private school in Palm Springs, California. But at their new school, the drama is only just beginning.

Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, Bloodlines explores all the friendship, romance, battles and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive - this time in a part-vampire, part-human setting where the stakes are even higher and everyone's out for blood.

My Review:
So good! So so good!!! :)*smiles and smiles more*
Reading Bloodlines by Richelle Mead was stunning,fast-pacing, Sydney was a perfect heroine, action was leaving me gasping for air and gripping on the book beacause it was ssoooo good!(and yes,I can't exaggerate it much more!)

Sydney was such a goody-goody and just wanted to do her Alchemist duty, and maybe that is something I liked and was relatable. We also see Adrian Ivashkov and Rose Hathaway and other from Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy, and I liked it alot. There was something about this book, the character, the setting that maded me devoure it in a day, since it was awesomesauce!!!

I so look forward to The Golden Lily! The ending was crazy! **Spolier** With Lee being obsessed with turning into a Strigoi, and that scene with Adrian,Jill,Syndey, sooo good and excited and the ending with Dimitri man I need the sequel!!!!!!!!!! And a copy of this book!!! :D

So much twists  and turns with lots of mysteries and thoughs that will leave you desperate for the sequel!  The story starts out will Sydney being torn away from her bed at night for a Alchemist mission (and only gets better from there!). She is told that she will have to take her sister,Zoe Sage, place since of her lower training in defending herself against the ruthless,Strigoi. Now,Syndey and Moroi and sister of Lissa Dragomir, Jill Dragomir are posing as students and sibling in the human boarding school of Amberwood Prep. There Syndey and her Alchemist adventure just begin with hidden secrets and humans provide an illusion of safety.

So good! So good and I can't stop saying how so good it is! So it recieves 5 STARS!!!

So Freakin Awesome!! Loved every thing about it. Will Re-read forever!!

Book Review: Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly

“I'm wishing he could see that music lives. Forever. That it's stronger than death. Stronger than time. And that its strength holds you together when nothing else can.”

Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly
Hardcover, 472 pages
Published October 12th 2010 by Delacorte Books for Young Readers
Goodreads Blurb:BROOKLYN: Andi Alpers is on the edge. She’s angry at her father for leaving, angry at her mother for not being able to cope, and heartbroken by the loss of her younger brother, Truman. Rage and grief are destroying her. And she’s about to be expelled from Brooklyn Heights’ most prestigious private school when her father intervenes. Now Andi must accompany him to Paris for winter break.

PARIS: Alexandrine Paradis lived over two centuries ago. She dreamed of making her mark on the Paris stage, but a fateful encounter with a doomed prince of France cast her in a tragic role she didn’t want—and couldn’t escape.
Two girls, two centuries apart. One never knowing the other. But when Andi finds Alexandrine’s diary, she recognizes something in her words and is moved to the point of obsession. There’s comfort and distraction for Andi in the journal’s antique pages—until, on a midnight journey through the catacombs of Paris, Alexandrine’s words transcend paper and time, and the past becomes suddenly, terrifyingly present.

Jennifer Donnelly, author of the award-winning novel A Northern Light, artfully weaves two girls’ stories into one unforgettable account of life, loss, and enduring love. Revolution spans centuries and vividly depicts the eternal struggles of the human heart.

  My Review:

WOW.....Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly was such an engrossing and heart-felt book.

Reading the sypnosis you have an idea of how powerful and capturing this book will cause you to cry and after finishing it you realize how hard life is.(Which happened to me!^^) Andi was so relatable and you can feel her intense pain because of her brother's death. She just wanted to play music and stay inside her painful and sad world.

Sometimes she was annoying with all her talk, but it eventually eased out.  I felt both Andi and Alexandria's emotions, which is hard for books to get me inside and connect with them was if your them. :) I like how Miss Donnelly did a great job with Alexandria's journal, making it feel like a 200 year old diary!!!

The story starts out with Andi Aplers, a girl who's on edge. Everything in her life is ruined~her father left, the death of her brother,Truman; and angry, rageful at her mom for not understanding and coping. Music is only her rescue an comfort.  Her life drastcially changes when her father askes Andi to accompany her for winter at Paris,Andi agrees even through her raging and spiritful reaction.

After being accustommed to Paris, we are introduced to Alexandira, the street actor who's lives was overshadowed by the prince of France. These 2 different girl's world collide together, as Andi feels the comfort and obsession in Alex's diary. During a night in the Paris Catacombs, both of the world of the past translate to the present.

A absolutelty stunning historical fiction debut from author, Jennifer Donnelly!!!

So Freakin Awesome!! Loved every thing about it. Will Re-read forever!!
